Moms are supposed to do all the things….and do them well. “Good” moms are good at everything….or so I’ve always thought.
I had to ask myself….why am I doing so much work and letting the things I love slide? I’m constantly thinking about things I should be doing….chores, laundry, yard work, grocery shopping…the list goes on.
I knew I was busy but the pace we were running at was unsustainable.
I also was beating myself up with “guilt” over not being able to “do it all.”
Enter outsourcing. Delegating. Unashamedly paying someone else to help us with our family’s household needs. .
Our dry cleaning is now picked up and dropped off at our house.
Our cars are detailed at the house by a service.
We just started using a company to have healthy meals delivered 3 times a week.
The rest of our groceries are shipped to the house once a week.
We hired someone to paint the house and handle our renovations instead of tackling them on our own.
I hired someone to make the treats for Callie’s birthday party this year. I had her cake made from a local bakery.
I wont tell you how many boxes we get a day from Amazon…..just so we don’t have to go to the store. .
We have to focus on the things we do well and be ok with “letting go” of the others. Let someone else help you so you can go do the things that you are good at! Not good at cleaning the house? Pay a service so you can spend time baking. Not a gourmet chef? Meal services are an awesome option. My time is so precious and I want to spend my free time with my family.
Not at the grocery store ❤.
