These types of posts are always fun because we can share a little snapshot of what is going on in our lives!
- We just did our fall photo shoot with our favorite photographer, Memories by Lauren. If you are in south central Texas, you NEED to book a session with her. She has been doing our photos since Callie was a baby and she is amazing. We have our pumpkin patch session this weekend and I might be more excited than Callie is about it. Let’s give them pumpkin to talk about…..give me all the pumpkins.
- We are doing a Mama/Callie Halloween costume this year……get your hearts ready it is going to be ADORABLE.
- We found out that Callie can wear her running blade while she is doing her horseback riding lessons! We were worried that she might not be able to and we would switch back to her foot….but she did not like that one bit. We accidently left the blade on last weekend and she did very well so we are going to keep on doing them with the blade!
- Callie and I are doing the #Last90Days challenge with Rachel Hollis. The goal of the challenge is to finish out the last 90 days of the year as intentionally as we start the first 30 days of a new year. The parameters are moving your body for 30 minutes, drinking half your body weight in water, give up one “bad for you” food group, get up one hour earlier to work on your goals, and gratitude practice each day. I love the fact that my little goal getter wants to do this with me. She takes her water bottle to school, has given up McDonalds, and we do our gratitude practice over breakfast every day. Today’s items that she was grateful for were: grilled cheese, her new book, and dinners together as a family.
- Our traditions on Fridays are cake pops from Starbucks. After school pick up, we go to get a cake pop and talk about how our week went, our goals, weekend plans, and girl stuff. Its rapidly becoming my favorite part of the week.
- Our race training is going well. Our focus for the next few months is to build her endurance and strengthen her quad muscle to make sure that we can successfully complete the race. Her determination and tenacity just amaze me.
- Fingers crossed, but the final draft of our book will go to some publishers by the end of this month. I’ve decided that I am going to have Callie listed as a co-author because I want this creation to be from both of us and by both of us. She’s been my inspiration through this all and I want this book to be her legacy we leave on the world.
- Our favorite dates are bookstore dates and lunch at Firehouse subs. We literally can spend hours at the bookstore on a weekend.
- We are so incredibly grateful for our tribe. This community has shown up for us, supported us, advocated for us, cheered us on, and loved us SO hard and we could not be more grateful to you.
- Callie told us that her first car will be a pink Mustang. Hold on world, Callie Grace is coming for you……
